Wanting to tidy up the decking area (light sanding, washing etc) & then stain (see attached product). Not sure if sealant is then needed but happy to discuss. Stain supplied. Decking is approx 40 sqm.

Hi Mario. I need to coat a new deck for the first time but it was done 9 months apart and sections are undercover. To get it looking more uniform would you recommend a light sand? Could then possibly skip the deck clean process. Or maybe just needing an extra coat of oil on the more weathered/uncovered sections. Let me know what you think. I then have Haymes Dexpress which allows a recoat after 2 hours

Looking to get my backyard decking area redone. Currently there's a dark stain on the wood (Merbau) that I want to replace with a matte finish oil. From experience with the same deck in the front yard that has turned out well, I need the following: - strip existing deck with Deck Stripper; - high pressure wash; - sanding to remove obvious remnant paint; - 2 coats of matte finish natural decking oil. The dimensions of the deck (see photos for reference) are: - around pool (25m2) - undercover (25m2) - pool side (7m2) To note: - BBQ/sink/fridge: only cover visible area and not move the whole thing; - pool fence base: the aluminium caps can be raised to allow stripping/sanding underneath

Sanding back the decking of the front steps in preparation for staining. Doesn't need to be too deep, but remove general imperfections and remaining paint/discolouration. Previous paint and stain has been stripped using deck stripper and then power washed. The dimensions of the steps is 1.65m wide by total length of 10.6m (including the rise).

Merbau decking needs a fine sand back and then restaining with Cabots exterior stain of which we have a tin of stain already. Decking area is approx surface area of 6 Square metres which includes 1 step and 2 risers.
