Oil and Filter Assessment
Upon arriving, your mechanic will first inspect your vehicle before draining the old engine oil and replacing the filter. This process involves starting your car and warming up your motor oil. Then, they will lift your vehicle to locate the drain plug and place an oil pan underneath while draining out the old motor oil. Â
Oil and Filter Replacement
After draining out the old engine oil, your mechanic will proceed with removing the old filter using a wrench. Then, they will put a small amount of engine oil to the gasket to avoid leaks. Once they replace the oil filter with a new one, they will pour in the correct grade and amount of oil suited for your vehicle using a funnel to avoid leaks.
Final Inspection and Testing
After placing the new oil and filter, your mechanic will do a final inspection by starting the engine and letting it run it for a few minutes. This step will help ensure that the new motor oil is circulating smoothly and that there are no signs of leakage around the drain plug and filter. Need to replace front brake discs, pads and brake fluid Engine oil. All parts have been purchased. Hoist (car lift) can be hired at DIY Motors, Gaythorne I can come to your location, if not far from where I am based.
5-star reviews gave me a false impression Key points: -Arrived 2.5 hours late (due to a personal life event) without any prior notice -Insisted not to replace 2 year old brake fluid (due to its acceptable clear colour), though it was agreed as part of the task and was due to be replaced as per servicing schedule -While replacing rotors, let the brake calipers hang by the brake hose(!!) -After the job, the brakes got spongy soft and never returned to normal until now.The car is now awaiting official Toyota servicing. -I messaged about the issue last week - did not respond right away. When I called him - acted as "very busy", promised to "call me tomorrow" and hung up on me - never called back -After I contacted Airtasker support, responded offering a $65 refund but kept me waiting and only paid 2 days later after a reminder -Promised to send an invoice - never did You are much better off hiring qualified licensed mechanic even for basic work. Hope my review saves someone from trouble
