In regards to cost I am open to discussion but I expect it's 2 hours work plus parts I have an intercom installed on a colorbond gate for a granny flat. Electrician installed what I think is called a magnetic striker you push the button and the latch opens Im not sure of the name of the additional parts required The outome required parts and labour to complete the system so the colorbond gate closes, locks, and the intercom can open the gate. The solution should allow gate to be opened from the outside with a key, and from the inside with key or some kind of door latch or handle.
