I just moved into a 2 bedroom apartment. I need help unpacking. I don’t have any preference on where my belongings go as long as they are organised. There’s lots of wrapping paper and boxes which will need to be thrown in the recycle bin on the ground floor (I’m on the 4th floor). My clothes need to be hanged or folded. Kitchen pots and pans knives etc need to be put in drawers. Shelves and storage cupboards are empty so you can put things however you want just as long as there is some kind of organisation.

I'd like a housekeeper (not strictly a cleaner) to be my right hand person, and help pick up the slack I leave due to my ADHD. Two hours per fortnight to start, but if you're up for it, I'm sure there'll be times when I'd love for your help more often. Essentially, if I have too many things on my mind or to do, I shut down and can't achieve much, and my housekeeper will be a huge relief for me because they'll do the things that I'm unable to do that fortnight. The tasks will vary. For example, cleaning my 2 x bed 2 x bath flat; cooking a meal; cleaning out my fridge; getting some groceries for me at the shops; ironing my linen and the occasional item of clothing; dusting everything on an open shelf or helping me organise a cupboard or bookcase. It's best for me if the person is someone I can get along with and build a rapport with. Trust and honesty are important, and I'd like you to get to know the sorts of tasks I often can't achieve and to be able to offer to do them if they need doing. Because I have trouble processing information sometimes, if I'm overwhelmed with tasks, I won't be able to properly explain to you what exactly it is I think I'm stressed about not being done. So eventually you'd get to know what is actually a priority for me and be patient about helping me spit the words out. I might be telling you a story about my week on arrival and I'll list a tonne of things I haven't done and won't know what you can fit into your time with me - I don't know how long things take - you'd eventually be able to glean the things that are probably ACTUALLY my biggest stressors and let me know which ones you can sort out that day. I'm easy going and am happy for you to do whatever you want in whatever order you want, as long as things are done properly. I had a cleaner for a few months that would clean the bathroom and never the shower cubicle, no matter how many ways I politely hinted at it. I don't want to "give orders" it makes me feel weird, so a responsible person, who takes pride in their work and will do whatever the job is properly will be perfect. Sometimes I'll have a list for you, because that list is how I'm organising my own thoughts and plans. I've heard people say they hate lists because they interpret them as being told they can't figure things out on their own. Please be ok with sometimes getting a list. It's for me to ensure I've not forgotten anything, not because I don't trust your amazing abilities and powers of deduction. I'm a disability support worker and I am very aware of how I want to be treated and I'll treat you the same. We are a team and I genuinely mean that. We'll be able to achieve my goals together, and there'll be room for your input/opinions/organising prowess. I don't handle pushy or bossy people very well, I haven't had a bossy cleaner (this is my first time having a housekeeper) but just thought I'd put this out there, because in my industry there's tonnes of bossy people. I'm friendly and approachable and I hope this hasn't overwhelmed you, I just want you to understand a little why I need your help and who you'd be working with. A little bit of flexibility with days would be good. While I'd prefer you came at the same time on the same day each fortnight, one to two times a month I have to work different days so we'd need to occasionally coordinate a different time or day. I pay what I consider to be a fair and appropriate hourly rate and of course if I ask you to do something out of the ordinary and you're happy to do it, I will pay you either separately for that job or a higher rate for that day. My sister is very mentally unwell and has recently gone to hospital. Upon entering her unit after a month I saw that she had not been taking care of it very well and that there was a fair bit of rubbish, unwashed dishes and general mess and dirt. Whilst I am currently taking care of her cat I did notice a bad smell upon entering too. This task would include a trip to the dump with some rubbish (she has given me permission to throw almost everything away that doesn't appear valuable aside from the bags of clothes in the spare room), general cleaning of floors surfaces, emptying of litter-tray, doing dishes, clearing out fridge, general cleaning/organising. We need a home cook/chef for about 4 weeks starting from second week in July. We are asking for about 4 meals to be prepared per week. Meals can either be prepared and cooked for us to reheat later, or can be pre-prepared for us to cook later (depending on meal type). We will supply recipes and ingredients. All meals can be prepared on one day or prepared daily. (This will depend on how close the person lives from us). Cleaning up after cooking is included. The person must have appropriate insurances etc and must have a police check.
