Hello We need help! Our garden is not functional and we don’t know how to start, manage or implement it to maximise its use! The grass is dead (despite expensive retic). We would love some help on designs/ideas and someone who can do it. We have some ideas of what we would like however understandably it’s not a must. Trampoline can go if needing more space. We just had a big shed built in the back yard which we hope to use 1/3 of it as a games area for our teenagers. To make our backyard more welcoming and attractive for us as a family to sit in, as well as a place for our kids to host parties and get togethers, we would like some ideas what to plant in the garden. We would like it to be low maintenance, but colourful and attractive.

I have a large area of "lawn", basically it is weeds, due to being the front house of a main road and I don't like to waste water on huge amount of grass. I am looking for someone that is creative to provide a low maintenance solution to my front yard, would be great to incorpate natives where possible. The idea I have is to have hedges around my yard to add privacy and a buffer to traffic noise. What is left is about 25m2 L shaped area. Part of the area is near the driveway, which would need to take a car driving over that area. The area has existing retic which may need to be adjusted. I can provide measurements and photos if you want to do it online. The area gets full sun all days as there are no trees or minimal shade from the house. Opportunity for further landscaping work, as somethings I may not be able to do myself, such as removal of old lawn, trenches for new plants, etc.

Small garden out front of my rental unit, approx 2mx8m. It’s been maintained but never had proper design/attention. Looking for someone to give it a really good facelift, put in some new plants, etc. Some other gardens in the complex are pretty ugly, and I’d like my garden to look amazing and set the gold standard on how great these small spaces can look. Needs to be low maintenance because it’s a rental property so I can’t guarantee tenants will take ongoing care of it. Need to keep the current small tree in front of the bedroom window for some privacy, or plant something new that is large/established. It’s a strata complex so no fencing, abstract artworks, fancy designer features, etc. I’d love to see your vision... some design ideas and a drawn-up plan of what you’ll plant and where.

Would like a sunken fireplace in backyard and something to give privacy without blocking light in the front because we have large windows on the street side.
