    Wall mount my tv

    $15

    Athol Park SA 5012, Australia

Select a spot and choose a bracket - First, you need to think about the amount of space you have and the type of bracket you need. Make sure you choose a wall that is free of other installations, such as artworks and air-conditioning units. From a comfort point of view, the best walls are those directly opposite your couch so you can relax and look directly at the TV when sitting. There are three main types of wall brackets to choose from: Fixed, low-profile brackets, which enable the best use of space. Tilt and turn brackets, which you can adjust to prevent reflections and improve your viewing angle. Full-motion brackets, which allow you to view your screen from a number of angles around the room.Setting up the back of your TV - On the back of your TV, you'll find four mounting holes with protective screws in them. Remove the protective screws and secure the mounting bars to the back of the TV with the screws from your bracket kit.Mark on the wall where you want to install your TV. If you've got a stud wall, use your stud finder to locate the studs. Centre the mount in position and make sure it's level. Once it's in position, mark your drill holes with a pencil and then drill the hole with the correct drill bit for your bolts. Put your mount back up and thread in all your bolts. Tighten each one a turn at a time, until they're all done. Now that the bracket's ready for the TV, it's time to get all of your media and power connections in place and check to make sure they all work properly. It's best to do this before mounting your TV. If you have a stud wall, you may want to conceal all of your cabling in the cavity by making one hole behind where the TV will be and one down on the floor level. Always remember to check for power cables or plumbing!Flat screens may be slim, but they can weigh a lot. Get a friend or two to give you a hand lifting your TV and placing it in position.
