We had two wall mounted airconditioning units replaced on 12 January, which have been in place for many years. The new units are not as large as the previous units and there are two ~6cmx9cm holes in the plasterboard. One hole is on a downstairs wall and one an upstairs wall at the back of a built in robe. Access to repairing the hole in the upstairs wall is not as straightforward as the downstairs wall. I've been told by a professional plasterer (sight unseen) that a piece of timber needs to be fitted in the holes, screwed in in three places, then mesh/tape followed by two layers of plaster. I will do the final sanding and painting. - Due date: Flexible
