I did a thorough cleaning of my awning window yesterday with multipurpose disinfectant wipes. The winding chain made an unusual noise when I was closing it afterwards. And this morning it just won’t open. Need this fixed today as I’m moving out. Thanks :)

*** Posting on behalf of the owner *** Repair works to footpath verandah canopy awning - We need a professional awning contractor to come and inspect, assess and quote for repairs. The task involves some investigation, and the root cause needs to be dealt with so this doesn't happen again. There is a deflection from the bottom soffit and upper roofline. The awning canopy might have just been knocked up back in the day and there might be rot and other factors that have contributed to the issue over time. There may be asbestos involved as well from when it was originally constructed. Someone who is multi-skilled in carpentry, roof plumbing and overall renovation management would be ideal, as we don't want to chase contractors around. We want the job done, and done well. Perhaps the work can be planned and completed outside of business hours so as not to disrupt shop. Not a deal-breaker, as customers can be directed through a side door if required.
