General garden maintenance for front and rear yard of 280m2 block (including house) in Dulwich Hill. Scope includes: Weeding, laying mulch in front garden beds, raking of grass, general tidy up. Green bin is half full, so some waste removal may be necessary.

PLEASE READ: backyard: I have a small square patch of lawn that is unruly and needs weed removal and cutting. The side driveway: has weeds growing out of the cement that needs to be trimmed treated with weed killer. All trimmings must be put into green bin. Front yard: this is tiny - just needs weed pulled and bushes trimmed

I am seeking a gardener to do the following things: • trim/prune branches from vines, border planted trees and large palms and cycads • employ methods to rejuvenate an ailing lemon tree • use a brush cutter to reduce grass-like weeds at rear of property • use an edger to clear the mower strip around the back lawn • suggest plantings for a gap in a garden under a very large tree • remove leaves and plants growing in guttering of neighbour’s garage I would like the tradesperson to have the following: • horticulture qualifications, rather than landscape qualifications • knowledge and use of appropriate chemicals that may be needed • a van/truck to take all garden waste to the tip It would be great if the person was an Inner West resident who has a knowledge of local species and native plantings. Ultimately, I want “regular” garden maintenance, on a 4 to 6 week cycle in spring and summer and a 6 to 8 week cycle in autumn and winter (approximately 10 visits a year). At this stage lawn mowing is not required. An arborist regularly attends to the trees. Initially it could take 3 to 4 hours to complete the job, but with regular attention I think that 2 hours per visit would be good. I am willing to pay $60 per hour for the work and understand that green waste tip fees will be extra.
