"Hey there! My small gardening business is growing, but my offsider is moving to Brisbane! :o So, I'm on the lookout for a reliable and hardworking subcontractor to join the team. I've got a straightforward garden cleanup job booked for early August (with flexibility on the date), and I'm looking for someone to help with that job as a trial. It's three hours, a little bit of pruning and weeding, but mostly loading green waste into my ute tray. In the future I'm looking for someone who can be available about twice a month, negotiated when I offer dates to my clients. Usually it's organised about a fortnight ahead, only ever daylight hours on weekdays, usually 5 hours or so. I'll consider anyone who has their own transport and enjoys outdoor physical work. Diligence, curiosity and a desire to help others are highly valued. Respecting and caring for people and nature are deeply important to me, and I'm looking for someone with similar values. I'm queer friendly and mob friendly, and I'd welcome a colleague of any gender or identity. The job I want to trial you for will be three hours in Corrimal, you'll need to wear PPE for gardening, as well as a hard hat. I don't need (and cant afford) the most kitted out subcontractor in the world, so if you aren't well set-up don't be deterred, and if you are give me options. Lawn is about 1 metre wide and 10 metres long. The weeds are out of control and rather tall - it needs mowing. There is a section of fake grass where weeds have grown through, they need to be removed. Weeds removed from garden beds, pavers etc, Large sloping beds in front yard, raised beds and paved area in rear yard need weeding/tidying. Total job is too big for 5 hours but initially looking for someone to do what they can in that time to get it started. I don't have unreasonable expectations. Out of control garden shrub needs to be dug pulled out and disposed of. A workute and trailer or 4 tonne tipper can be parked at the front on princes hwy corrimal with access to the work area via front gate entrance. Work area is within 10-15 metres of gate. All waste to be removed and disposed of. Garden waste consists of basket plants and callisia. Approximately 10-15 square metres to be removed and disposed. The backyard and front yard need to be mowed, hedges trimmed, and garden beds weeded. Weeding down the side of the house too. Most lawn cuttings and weeds can be left in green bins but some may need to be taken away if they don’t fit in the bin. Hedge trimmings will need to be removed. There is also a pile of soil sitting in the driveway - it’s in one of the pics - this would need to be taken away please. - Due date: Can be done on any weekend. Or alternatively I can meet you on a weekend to talk you through the job and the job itself can then be done on any days.
