I am looking for a competent carpenter or handyman to conduct some floor and trim repairs in an apartment located in Rivervale. The job involves repairing a vinyl plank floor, which includes closing the joints and replacing damaged planks. Additionally, there is a need to replace the scotia trim around skirting boards and doorways. Overview: Assess the condition of the vinyl plank flooring to identify repair and replacement needs. Replace damaged floor planks and ensure they are perfectly aligned and secured. Close any open joints in the flooring, preventing future damage and enhancing appearance. Install new scotia trim around skirting boards and doorways, matching vinyl planks. Experienced in carpentry or handyman work, especially with flooring and trim installation. Must have the necessary tools for the job. Replacement planks provided. Don't have replacement scotia but this could be completed at a later stage or excluded for now.

Hi We’re needing someone to install vinyl planks in our one story house. 112 square meters. Not sure the going rate but we’re in a tight budget. Will provide the planks but don’t understand the glue needed.

My absolutely lovely and well meaning dad had someone come in and lay my floor while I was away to help me get ready for my house sale in a couple of weeks. As you can see from the photos, he was clearly scammed and the floor layer has long gone - no, there are no legal ramifications I can turn to unfortunately (have already enquired extensively!) About 62sqm of vinyl plank has been laid. Roughly 70% is buckled and lifting. Some thin sections have been cut at (possibly to allow expansion?) and other parts appear to have had some attempt to superglue them down. It jut all needs to be flattened as much as reasonably possible. I don’t mind how much needs to be cut and timber gap fill used or anything like this. I don’t expect a miracle but am hoping for it to get to the best it can. I am writing 1234 in the budget section as I have no budget in mind - I require a quote. - Due date: Flexible

Hi all. Have an urgent 'floor prep.' job! Need the concrete floor of a bedroom and adjacent hallway to be checked to see if it's level; and if necessary screeded (which I recognise may require me to pay a bit more and I'm happy to discuss this) prior to the installation of vinyl planks. The installation of the vinyl planks is not part of this job. However, am happy discuss you doing this (if a good job is done in preparing the floors)! The bedroom is 3.3 x 3.4 and the hallway is only a few square meters. Would very much prefer someone who has lots of experience checking and screeding concrete floors, who is insured and who can do it very soon! If you have any questions please ask. The flooring which is made from Vinyl is 4 mm thick, 14 metres long and 1.5 metres wide. I have two rolls. Each roll weighs 100 kg. The flooring will need to be cut to fit in the patio. The vinyl flooring available is 42 square metres, and the floor space is 34.25 square metres.I have double sided tape.
