Hello :) I was wondering if you were able to place some flooring over carpet in a small room. (This is a rental property which is why it is needing to be over the carpet) I am able to purchase the flooring if you would prefer however I just need help actually putting it in. We have a laminate kitchen countertop that extends outwards (for seating), which we never use as it is way too high. We would like to cut off the part that is sticking out as it just gets in the way. We would probably just paint the new exposed part once cut off. The countertop is standalone and separate from other countertops in the kitchen (as per pic) Ideally once cut the current countertop will end 100% flush with the wall, but recognize this may not be possible and that it may need to stick out a bit.
