My house has hardwood floors which let the cold in from underfloor. I want to install either vinyl or laminate over the existing floor to ensure it is properly sealed and to stop the cold rising through the existing boards. The house has 4 bedrooms and a lounge and dining room.

We have existing engineered timber floating floorboards which were installed a year ago. We are about to embark on a kitchen renovation where by some of the floorboards will need to be replaced / added for example we dont have a dishwasher and will be getting one so the floorboards need to extend over the floor in that area.
