Carpenter needed to fix deck balustrades

$400

Aspley QLD, Australia

6th Jun 2020

I am in need of a carpenter to come over and have a look at my deck balustrades and then fix them the best/easiest way. The nails used have rusted and are splitting some of the vertical pieces. I need help to either keep the verticals somehow and rescrew them possibly in to a thicker bottom balustrade, or maybe all of the verticals need to be replace - whatever is best and easiest. I am wanting this done prior to painting my whole house so the timber won’t have to be primed or painted afterwards. It doesn’t have to match as it will all be painted over. I just need the problem of the nails/splitting solved first :) Any ideas are greatly received. Happy for it to be done any time, the sooner the better. Approx measurements are: Front balcony 4000x1800 38 verticals & 18 verticals: total 56 verticals Back deck: 8 balustrades measuring - 1600, 1630, 2050, 2000, 1500, 950, 800, 1880 Total 119 verticals All vertical timber measures 60mm x 820mm and most are in good knick except some splitting near the bottom from the rusting nails. Thank you!
