Fixing crackly volume pots 

Any musician dreads the sound of crackly or noisy volume pots. This noise can cause a hiss or hum, signal break-up, and changes in amp tone. Moreover, crackly control pots can disrupt or stop other amp functions from working. To fix this problem, a mechanic would typically open up your unit and clean the pots. But some situations call for a replacement. A thorough clean may involve the use of canned air or a contact cleaner. 

Fixing dangerous amp faults 

An amp may have dangerous faults due to lack of care, poor manufacturing, or wear and tear. Amp faults can result in electric shock or fires, which is why you should schedule a repair as soon as you notice any issues with your amplifier. Vintage amps can be dangerous to operate, as these electronics may fall short of modern safety standards. 

Modern amps may also have safety issues due to incorrect fuses and underrated components. A mechanic can identify amp issues, such as exposed wiring, heat-damaged insulation, and insufficient airflow. Amp repair and maintenance services can ensure your amp is in good working condition.

Need someone with experience in amplifiers. I have a Yamaha RX-V773 amplifier. Something happened and now it's not working. The amp powers on, but isn't playing any sound, even with headphones. Whenthe amp does work, it turns on, says welcome, you pick an input with input button and it works fine, over 90% of the time it turns on with a back light, but the display does nothing.
