Looking to install a Single Phase instantaneous hot water unit (either Stiebel Eltron DHC-E 8/50 or Microheat Series 1-10). Both options need 40Amp supply direct from switch board. Current switchboard is 63 Amps but (I'm told by the plumber) that we need to "upgrade the circuit breaker and electrical circuit to suit the new system". Another plumber said we need to ensure we had a 40 amp circuit breaker plus 6mm cabling. So I'm looking for a quote to upgade existing supply to enable either of the above mentioned water heaters to be connected to our electricity supply.
