We purchased a 4 camera video surveillance system that we would like installed. To do it properly we have decided to install a comms rack, move our NBN (HFC) and run some additional data points. The cabling will have to be run in the roof void. Access to the roof is good; We have a high pitch roof that we can stand in and has roof vents running so it is not hot to work in. Single storey house. Scope of work : - Hang a comms rack under a desk in the study. We already purchased the rack and put it together - Run one power point approximately 10 meters, from the distribution board to the new comms rack in the study. It will be used for a rack-mounted power rail in the comms rack - Run cabling provided from the comms rack and install 4 outdoor cameras. The camera system we purchased came with all cabling and hardware. - Move NBN (HFC) data point approximately 10 meters closer, into the comms rack - Run 3 cat6 dual-port data points from the comms rack to Desk 1 in the study, 5 meters. Desk 2 in the Study, 2 meters. Telstra NBN told us there was a problem (per message) and the NBN went into back up mode. Still have internet. Coincidentally our Sony tv on the same day went into and is stuck on boot up loop.
