I have a 2008 ford focus, it pops up saying power steering failure sometimes when I go to start it and the engine light is on, but only due to whatever this issue is. The thing is, I think it's just something loose somewhere as if I hit the steering wheel or dash as I'm turning the key it'll start 90% of the time. Power steering still works fine, but whatever this is I can't figure it out. I've taken off all the connections near steering column, had a look at them and a clean and made sure they were in tight and it still does it. What I need is someone who might have the tools or knowledge to atleast diagnose the issue. Won't pay for someone to come out only to tell me they don't know what the problem is.
