The lamp has two parallel arms that carry low voltage current to the 12v globe. However, while the base has power output, the lamp arms are not carrying the current. I would think the base is not connecting to the arms correctly

Planet light , white base and arms , toggle switch has broken , I have a replacement switch from Planet Lights Bellingen NSW , so it should be a comparatively easy job , no materials , can drop of light over weekend or early next week ,prepared to wait while work is done
