Hey There, Our downlights in our apartment keep blowing and I would like to have them switched out for LED lights as they use way less power and ideally won't blow. This would be the whole 1 bedroom apartment - there are 18 downlights we're looking to change. Google tells me that electricians charge anywhere from $50-$110 (average is $50-$70) per downlight so my budget reflects that

I have 8 downlight globes that need changing that will require a very tall ladder to replace. 2 other lights globes that need to be replaced but because so high can’t see what type. I can purchase all the globes and have them here in 10 minutes as I live 1 minute from Bunnings. Just need someone with a ladder that can reach 12 ft high ceiling for the higher downlight.

High level requirements: - Living room + Kitchen + Hallway (~40m2): 6-10 downlights - Study (~10m2): 2-3 downlights - Bedroom 1 (~13m2): 2-3 downlights - Bedroom 2 + hallway + ensuite (~22m2): 6-8 downlights - Laundry (~4m2): 1 downlight - Top floor split level apartment. May need to consider fire rating constraint. - Must be dimmable downlights - Quote is for supply and installation (also happy to source downlights myself but would need some guidance) - Will also need some guidance to figure out optimised and how many downlights are required for each room (numbers provided above are indicative).
