Preparing commercial window cleaning supplies

Your Tasker will start by clearing the space around the window. This process means removing items that may get in the way of cleaning and placing rags or a towel below the window to pick up any spills. They will then prepare a cleaning solution in a bucket. This will usually consist of either vinegar and distilled water, diluted dishwashing liquid, or a particular glass cleaning product.

Applying the cleaning solution to your windows

Your Tasker will apply the solution onto the windows using a spray bottle, microfibre cloth, or sponge. They will wipe the window pane from top to bottom, clean any screens, and wipe the window frame. 

Drying windows through professional commercial window cleaning

Once the entire area has been cleaned, the Tasker will dry the window using a lint-free towel, an old newspaper, paper towels, or a squeegee. If the window is still dirty or streaky, they may apply more cleaning solution and dry the window again. They may also use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe the edges and corners of the window.

Getting rid of stubborn dirt using commercial window cleaning supplies

Sometimes, window dirt won’t go away with a cleaning solution and scrubbing. Your Tasker may need to use an ammonia-based product to get rid of grease or scrape debris using a razor blade. Since ammonia can leave spots on wooden surfaces, and razor blades can damage tinted glass, it’s best to ask your Tasker if they plan to use these supplies when cleaning your windows.
