Move and refit cabinets that are already existing

I have 2 sides of a built in wardrobe that I would like customised to better suit our needs. Currently we simply have a shelf & hanging rod. Each space measures 240cm high x 150cm wide x 60cm deep. Had a quote of $7K but that’s just not justifiable. See picture of plan (de-identified builders name with gray box in middle of picture). Also see photo of existing space. Ideally would prefer not to have white laminate. Is it possible within this budget?

EDIT: I've attached some very roughly edited photos of the area above the range hood where we're looking for some shelves to be installed and the space next to the cabinets where we were hoping to get another shelf of the same material (this one we're not too fussed about if it's not possible). We have the name of the material we selected for this cabinet if required. I've also attached a photo of where we would like the shelves in the study.
