I have a 2008 Subaru Impreza 5sp manual that just started losing power in gear and making a weird noise in the engine. I lose power steering after the engine turns off too. Need a diagnosis and possible quote for fix. Not entirely fussed with cost.

Someone stole our family car Subaru Impreza GX 1998. After it was found and returned by the police on the next day, it starts and drives, but the ignition barrel is damaged. Now, the key wouldn't go to position 0; the engine turns off in position 1 already. The key also wouldn't turn to position 4 (the engine starts with a key in position 3). Also, previously to turn off the engine and extract the key, it required to press the key towards the ignition barrel slightly and then turn it to 0. Now, as said, the key wouldn't go to 0 either 4 positions, while it rotates loosely inside the barrel between positions 1 and 3. I don't want to replace the barrel because first I don't have a budget for it, and also I wish to use my original key which opens the car. So, I am after some specialist, who can fix the ignition barrel without replacing it and is generous and understanding enough to make it properly for the maximum price which I can afford in the current situation ($150).

Looking for Someone who knows what they are doing to do a Subaru wrx 2000 clutch change leant my wrx to a so called mate of mine trying to be a Good Samaritan Long story short as I could go on for days he blew up the clutch! And no longer a mate as he refused to get it replaced or pay for any damages So I have a brand new clutch, flywheel, bearings etc ready to go in Car is up on ramps ready to go, in a garage, tools and light available
