My 2007 Holden rodeo dual cab Ute has a leaking steering rack. It needs to be replaced. My very reliable mechanic informed me yesterday. However their quote for a new part is a stretch for my budget. I don't mind if the replacement is used/second hand. Please include in your quote the parts, or at least an indication you can assist me in obtaining the parts. I am happy to go and collect/pay for the part so long as you help me organise. Prefer for it be done on a Friday Saturday or Sunday.

Hi, how much do you charge? I have a 01 holden Astra TS Convertible that isn't kicking over since I burnt out the fuel relay (has been replaced) and fuel has been brought back up into the lines, starter motor recently replaced also prior to it just failing to kick over after running solid until a few Wks before it died, where it was touch and go if it kicked over without the need for a jump start. After about two Wks of doing that off n on it ultimately stopped turning completely even with the jump start. It sounds like it wants to kick over and makes a whirring noise since bringing the fuel up thru the lines however it still isn't turning over to start. The fuel pump has been ruled out as a problem by a few mates who've looked at it.. Thinking electrical? Haven't been able to get a hold of a diagnostic scanner so for all I know the issue could be as simple as a loose wire and at my wits end with seeing it just sitting there while I pay a fortune for ubers and having to rely on the kindness of others to get where I need to go for work etc. Hoping someone out there can help me with some possible ideas that could be checked and ruled out to get this back on the rd

* job half completed ; other mechanic half completed job and removed parts to access alternator . Said he was returning but never came back . First mechanic tookaccessory belts off and unbolted the alternator but he wasn’t able to pull it out .
