Add CSV data to local.db3

Raymond Terrace, New South Wales, Australia

Food War is a private Not For Profit Incorporation helping feed others at 4 sites across The Hunter, NSW. We are looking for someone to contribute valuable coding knowledge in creating a Python script to add CSV data to the Products table on our Inventory.db3 upon opening the .py file. You will be awarded a Certificate to show our Appreciation for your lovely efforts. The CSV is new structured product sales data, being added to several Regit Express POS PC every week. The Python Script Job Files can be found at Bitly /2NmdZ0X Folder Contents: - .db3 = The Products table with 5 test items - .csv = Has 10 new test items, ready for import to .db3 - .py = Used to get .db3 to csv. (May or may not help) Variables I can arrange: - There are 57 columns in .db3, and only 12 columns in the .csv, thus the order of the columns is different. - If the .CSV also needs to have 57 columns to match .db3 - If the Header row needs to be removed from .csv. We would also appreciate if any of the following Extras could be arranged: - Print(new CSV data to user) - Print(# of new entries added) Kind Regards, _____________________________________ Kyle Lacey Volunteer I.T. Python Script Adjustment

Food War is a private Not For Profit Incorporation helping feed others at 4 sites across The Hunter, NSW. The key challenges I'm looking to solve in regards to IT at Food War is to create a structured .CSV export file, with data from 2 .DB3 files. We previously had a small Python script build to extract several CSV files from our free POS software (Regit Express) database. One database has a column with the name of the computer that generated each record, but the other DB does not. Running CSV_Gen will generate 2 CSV files. In Transaction Log Export.csv, column H (ComputerName) is the same for every row, therefore I would like H2 added as column N in Accounts Export, with “ComputerName” as header, but only appearing on non blank rows. I would also like to add a column that stamps each non blank row with the Python Filename. Job files can be found here: [Content Moderated] Kind Regards, _____________________________________ Kyle Lacey Volunteer I.T. Systems Administrator & Developer

Thank you for updating our Python Script that contributes to the export of Point Of Sale data; days before deadline and the 1st draft was a GO. The added code was an amazing suggestion too, Cheers Kirwan. Kind Regards, Kyle Lacey Volunteer I.T. Systems Administrator & Developer The Food War Incorporated

Create a .CSV from .DB3

Raymond Terrace, New South Wales, Australia

Food War a private Not For Profit Incorporation helping feed others at 4 sites over The Hunter. We use free POS software (Regit Express) at the checkout. At the end of the day Managers have several duties to report their taking, 1 of whiick included exporting from 4 databases, which I'm trying to automate. On the back end I've setup a Google sheet with the SheetGo add on that reads 1 of 4 export.CSV files from 1 of 5 shops, Regit does a daily backup, saving it's databases to Google Drive, The key challenges I'm looking to solve in regards to IT at Food War is to create and save 4 .CSV export files from 2 local/cloud .DB3 files on a daily schedule. The .DB3 files are Regit Express - Point Of Sale database (.DB3) files, stored locally on a Windows 10 machine and backed up by Google Drive. I would like a solution that creates a: Customer Accounts Exports.CSV from the Inventory.db3 Customers Export.CSV from the Inventory.db3 Product History Export.CSV from the History.db3 Transaction Log Export.CSV from the History.db3 Ideally the whole solution will be triggered from the cloud as the .DB3 files are synced with Google Drive (or by opening some CMD file from the Desktop) and have the export .CSV files rename and save themselves to a folder on the desktop, where my app will use the .CVS file. DB file can be found here: goo.gl/ERwKPB

We prase Michael for his valuable contribution in creating a custom Point Of Sale export app for our outlets to report their sale activity
