I need a second set of hands to install our new pergola in our backyard in Brookvale. The following sequence of tasks is required: 1.) meet at Kennards in Brookvale to pick up a hoist (I don't have a ute or truck so need yours) 2.) lift new steel beam (7200mm long, ~255kg) onto 2x existing brick posts, mark up holes onto brick 3.) drill pilot holes into brickworks 4.) drop beam and secure using Ankascrews 5.) install 10x 4000mm long rafters between beam and facade of house (rafters sit on top of steelbeam and get secured with batten screws, all rafters are connected to joist hangers on the facade) 6.) install aluminium profiles on top of the rafters 7.) set out flashing and fix to facade 8.) install 9x polycarbonate sheets 4000mm long (Palram Sunglaze 800mm wide) onto rafters 9.) return the hoist to Kennards with your ute. It would be great if you bring your own tools so we can work in tandem. Ideally, the work is completed on Monday 6th of NOV since I took a day off work for that day. Access to property is easy, you can park in front of the garden gate which leads to the pergola. The beam is made up of 2x 150PFC profiles that get bolted together on the ground so that it essentially looks like an I-beam. The brick post in the middle that you can see in the pictures is not being used and will be demolished later (not part of this job). - Due date: Needs to be done on Monday, 6 November 2023
