Anthony possibly has the most varied life and professional experience. He started off his career by getting qualifications in landscaping, then onto skippering boats in Sydney Harbour and nowadays specialising in oven and BBQ cleaning.
He enjoys seeing the satisfaction across the happy customers and with over 140 tasks under his belt, his reviews simply say it all.
But why oven and BBQ cleaning specifically? Well, it’s something his Grandfather said to him one day.

So why Airtasker?
“Before Airtasker I was skippering boats in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and it was hard work because you needed a lot of energy to do the job well. It just got to the stage where I wanted to do something different. I also want to start adding to my savings to put towards buying a home one day.
A friend of mine told me about Airtasker and I wasn’t sure how it worked or what I could do, but I knew I was good with my hands and that I had the mindset required to focus on these tasks and do a phenomenal job.
By being the boss of myself (and my work), I can decide when I want to work and if a task works for me then I will make an offer. I can also ask the Poster if they’re flexible with the task and I can make it work with my schedule – so it works both ways.

What are the values you try to live by?
I think that time is precious to everyone these days, so it makes being politeness, reliability and punctuality really important values to have – and I share those values too!
At the end of the day, I like what I’m doing, I have a unique set of skills and I try my very best every time. The people I’ve worked with are genuinely so nice and they give me more jobs because they’re happy.
If you just look at my reviews on my profile, the Posters say that I do a spotless job, leave BBQ’s sparkling and that they would recommend me to their friends and hire me again. If you’ve got a dirty BBQ or oven, I’m your guy.
What tasks do you specialise in?
- BBQ cleaning
- Oven, cooktop and rangehood cleaning
- General house cleaning
- End of lease cleaning
- Dishwasher maintenance and filter cleaning ( I have over 7 years experience with Miele & Borsch appliances in Canada – so I’ve got lots of experience here)
But I also enjoy doing Landscaping and Gardening, after all, that’s what I got my Diploma in.
What are your top cleaning tips and favourite cleaning products?
If you do a little bit of cleaning and tidying every day, it makes the whole cleaning chore a lot easier. Especially with the oven, just wipe it down after you use it, it will take no more than 5 minutes otherwise if you have it, it will only get harder to get off.
I swear by Easy Off Oven Cleaner but you need to make sure you read the label and always wear protection because it’s a corrosive product.
What do you enjoy about cleaning tasks?
I enjoy cleaning because it’s something that I’m good at and I find it easy to do. My own home is super clean, I spend 20 minutes everyday cleaning in my own home – my landlord loves me!
I’ve been lucky to work for a variety of people from families to retirees and I really enjoy just simply working by myself. It means I can control the quality of the work instead of worrying about other people’s quality of work.
What’s important for you to know before you make an offer on task?
Specialising in particular areas of cleaning means that I like to know certain details such as the type of BBQ, what condition it’s in and even how many burners there are on the BBQ.
And of course, photos really help me to understand what the price should be for the task. If I’m more detailed with the Poster, we both have the same understanding of what needs to be done and they are happy when I’m done.
One last thing about me…
I love travelling and meeting new people, which is something great about Airtasker as well. Australia is wonderful and I love travelling to lots of different spots but my favourite has to be the Whitsundays and Airlie beach – it’s just beautiful.”
