6 months ago my car was displaying a message saying engine overheating. And the engine was making far more noise than usual, even when stationary. I brought it to a mechanics (I have the diagnostic report). They said they didn't feel comfortable guessing the fix as they weren't 100% sure of the issue. They advised getting it assessed by an auto electrician. Their assumption was that one of the sensors was acting up / mis-signalling and causing the car to enter limp mode / overheat. However, whatever they did fixed the issue. No problems for months. The issue has returned this week. Car: Skoda Octavia, 1.4L Wagon, 2015
