What does a reverse car camera installation include?
You’ll need a professional reverse car camera installation for the unit to work effectively. Fortunately, thanks to technology advancement, you can get yours installed by a mobile mechanic without having to leave your home. Here’s what you can expect during your car camera installation:
Step 1: Install the camera in the best position
Most cameras are designed to attach to your number plate, but your installer will determine the correct placement for your type of vehicle to ensure maximum visibility. For larger cars or commercial vehicles, they may need to attach the camera in a higher position to give you the visibility you need.
Step 2: Connect the power supply
Minor electrical work is completed to connect the camera to the power source, usually the wires powering your rear tail lights. Once the installation is completed, your camera will activate when you select reverse gear.
Step 3: Install the camera monitor for viewing
It’s important that your monitor is installed in a comfortable position for you to view images safely while reversing as well as ensure a clear view through the windscreen. Monitors can be mounted on the windscreen or dash, or you may choose to install an integrated option that combines your reversing monitor with your rear-view mirror. I have a 2013 Triton and looking to have an Android Auto head unit installed. The head units correct for this model so should just be plug and play, it comes with a reversing camera. If possible I'd like it completed this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon as the vehicles going in for a service on Monday. Please don't bid unless you're confident that you can complete the install.
I really can't have about David enough. He was efficient, a lovely bloke and even walked me through the menu system of how to muse the head unit. Definitely recommend.

1) I have a universal (Veloxar brand screen) which plays through existing car speakers, has a tiny rear camera with wiring (not sure theres enough wiring as my 4WD is a LWB wagon. There is space to install a (black) switch on my existing car dashboard so that the wiring should be able to be hidden under the dashboard. When in use, the screen will be positioned on top of the dashboard as it will attached to a windscreen bracket located dead centre on top of the dashboard. 2) I also want a separate quote to install led driving lights on my nudge bar and to tighten/repair the mounting brackets for my existing driving lights. My car was broken into, and the thieves tried unsuccessfully to steal the existing driving lights by trying to wrench them off the front nudge bar, so they loosened the brackets and one is way looser than the other, so lights keep moving out of position whenever I hit a bump in the road. So, I was considering the following options: a) get the mounting brackets tightened/fixed so that I can keep using the existing driving lights, and can the new led driving lights be installed on top of my 4WD, and if so, do they need to be mounted onto a solid steel rack for security, or something else (I only have roof racks/rails at the moment)with one facing to the rear/one facing to the left (passenger side). Note that I still need to buy the wiring loom for the driving lights as they havent had them in stock since I bought the led driving lights. I would also need to buy whatever the new led driving lights would need to be mounted onto (so they cannot be easily removed/stolen, and to enable them to be wired up. 3) Install a battery bracket which I have (for a second battery under the bonnet), with wiring to run to the inside rear with plugs/switches to run fridge, led driving lights, camping accessories.
