We are looking for an experienced and well-connected cabinet maker/joinery professional to help us introduce the portal to other cabinet makers throughout Melbourne. The role: We will train you on our stone quoting portal and how the system works. You will then help us: * Introduce the portal to cabinet makers within your network * Demonstrate how cabinet makers can use the portal to obtain stone pricing * Help businesses complete their first few quotes through the system * Explain the benefits and make the onboarding process simple * Provide us with feedback from cabinet makers so we can continue improving the platform Who we’re looking for: Ideally, you have: * Strong experience in cabinet making/joinery * A large network of cabinet makers and joinery businesses across Melbourne * Good understanding of how cabinet makers currently obtain stone quotations * Existing relationships with business owners, estimators and project managers * Confidence demonstrating a simple online system * Good communication and people skills * An interest in ongoing work rather than just a once-off task This is not a cabinet-making or installation position. Demolition: Carefully remove the existing wardrobe doors and the old wooden frame/architrave around the door opening, minimizing damage to the surrounding plaster. Desk Installation: Supply and install a sturdy, custom-cut timber benchtop/desk surface inside the space at standard sitting height (approx. 73-75cm high), securely mounted to the wall studs. Top Cabinet Door: Supply and install a single cabinet door to cover the existing top shelf. The current door panel is made of laminate and needs to be cut down cleanly to match the Bosch dimensions. Requirements: - Measure and cut the laminate panel to fit the new Bosch dishwasher (I have the Bosch installation template/manual ready). - Ensure a clean cut without chipping the laminate face. - Seal the raw cut edge properly to prevent steam/moisture damage. Cabinetry adjustment above gas stove – make compliant I need a cabinetmaker/handyman to modify the existing overhead cabinetry above a freestanding gas stove in a Richmond apartment. The current cupboard/extraction fan enclosure sits too low and protrudes over the cooktop. I need the cabinetry altered so there is sufficient clearance above the gas cooktop and the area can meet the applicable installation/compliance requirements. Work would likely involve: * Cutting back, shortening or reconfiguring the cupboard directly above the stove. * Adjusting/removing the lower section that currently protrudes over the cooktop. * Making good the cabinetry after alteration so it looks neat and finished. * Coordinating the finished dimensions with the required clearance for the gas cooktop/rangehood. Cabinet: any combustible cabinet surface directly above the gas cooktop should ideally be 650 mm or more above the top of the gas trivet. If it is lower than 650 mm, it needs compliant protection; nothing can be below 450 mm. an Photos attached showing the existing setup. Hello, I'm looking for someone with experience in cabinetry, built-in wardrobes or joinery to finish an IKEA PAX wardrobe install to make it appear built in and a tidy finish. Scope of works 1. Install infill/filler panels • Fill the gaps between the wardrobe and the side walls with 16mm MR MDF. • Scribe the panels to the walls where required so everything sits flush. • Ideally use moisture-resistant MDF or similar ready for painting. 2. Install a kicker/plinth board • Cover the existing timber base with a neat kicker/plinth with either 16 or 18mm with 16mm MR MDF. • Continue the plinth across the full width so it appears built in. • Minimise visible joins. 3. Finishing • Light sand and prime final cut and fitted pieces • Colour match GRIMO door at Dulux trade centre • Ideally, paint with low sheen Dulux Aquanamel and using high-density foam roller to achieve sprayed-looking texture • Finish neatly against the existing skirting boards and also IKEA base (may require some filling of gaps above plinth / kicker) • Caulk as required. Cabinet Maker Needed to Adjust Kitchen Cabinetry for Stone Benchtop Realignment Looking for an experienced cabinet maker to inspect and adjust existing kitchen cabinetry to allow a stone benchtop to be moved back into its correct position. A stone mason has advised that the cabinetry underneath requires adjustment before the stone can be repositioned. There is currently movement/misalignment in the cabinetry which appears to have contributed to the benchtop shifting and cracking at a join. Scope of Works: Inspect existing kitchen cabinetry and supports. Move and re-level cabinetry as required. Reinforce or adjust cabinet structure to support the stone correctly. Ensure cabinets are level and suitable for the stone mason to reinstall/reposition the benchtop. Advise if any additional cabinet repairs are required.
