Installation of second hand gas log fireplace What is the type of property? House - single story Which areas of the property need work? Gas log fireplace installation in lounge room What would you like the handyperson to work on? I would like to find someone who is licenced and can install a second hand freestanding gas log fireplace. I have a brick dividing wall between my lounge room and kitchen. Ideally I would like the freestanding gas log fireplace to go against the brick wall on the lounge room side. There are already gas and electricity points in the cabinets on the other side of the brick wall for my gas cooktop and electric oven so I am hoping the gas and electricity connections for the fireplace can go through the brick wall and connect to the gas and electricity in the kitchen cabinets. I have sloping ceilings with no cavity and the height from the floor to the ceiling is about 2.8m. The roof is colorbond with easy single story access from the veranda. I have attached a photo of a second hand gas log fireplace which is currently for sale and which I would like to purchase, or similar. It comes with a chimney/flue designed for a 2.4m flat ceiling with cavity so I am guessing I will have to buy some sort of flue extension and sloped ceiling kit, but would appreciate advice on this.
