The previous cooktop was damaged and so I called an electrician out. He said its not worth fixing and suggested a buy a new cooktop. He partially removed the old one and I obtained the model number and purchased the new one yesterday. He was meant to install the new one today (said to simply call him to get it done). When I called him today I was first told that he could do the job between 9am and 12 pm but now he says that he may be able to come late afternoon but could not guarantee it. I would prefer to get the job done before 2pm so that I don't have to waste the rest of the day waiting around as I also have tasks to attend to. It appears to be a straightforward job but definitely requires a licensed electrician. - Due date: Needs to be done on Friday, 11 August 2023
